The Glock 19X Gen5 9mm striker-fired pistol is considered by some to be the best pistol Glock has ever produced. That’s saying a lot about a pistol coming from a respected company like Glock. The G19X was designed to compete in the US military’s Modular Handgun System trials and those efforts shine through. The G19X features a 4.02” Glock Marksman Barrel with enhanced polygonal rifling for improved accuracy. Target acquisition is enhanced with metal 3-dot windage adjustable Tritium night sights. The 6.85” PVD coated slide has deep vertical serrations to the rear and an ergonomically beveled nose out front. The 19X uses the Gen5 Enhanced Safe Action trigger system with an improved feel and a consistent 5.5LB trigger pull. The Glock 19X uses the full-sized grip of the Glock 17 with a 17 or 19 round capacity. (Note: the 19X uses Gen 4 magazines, gen 5 magazines with the larger base plate will not fit.) Other standard features include a Picatinny rail, ambidextrous slide stop, reversible magazine release, and 4 additional backstraps for a comfortable grip regardless of hand size. (1) 17 and (2) 19 round magazines included.

  1. Glock’s new fanboy

first glock and I love it!
I have to say, i’ve stayed away from glocks because of the price but dang if this ain’t a great deal. my new favorite gun!

  2. GomeznSA

I actually got to handle one of the 19X versions today and it is not a bad handling piece. I realize that it was concocted to attempt to secure the military contract so is possibly not a real draw for the civilian market. The butt/frame of a full size service weapon married to a compact (more or less) slide/barrel is probably not going to be a great combo but who knows, time will tell. Most of us would just ‘solve’ the extra capacity by simply putting a 17 magazine into a 19 (or 26). As Col Ben stated, just my opinion. 😉
